CARROT PACHADI

CARROT PACHADI

Ingredients:
Carrots-6
Garlic cloves-4
Coriander seeds-1 tablespoon
Cumin seeds-1 teaspoon
Urad dal-1 teaspoon
Red chilies-8
Salt-as per taste
Tamarind-small gooseberry size
Oil-2 tablespoons
Tempering:
Cumin seeds-1/2 teaspoon
Mustard seeds-1/2 teaspoon
Chana dal-1 teaspoon
Red chilies-2
Hing-small pinch
Curry leaves

Preparation:
Add 1 tablespoon of oil in a pan,add coriander seeds,cumin seeds,urad dal,garlic cloves,red chilies,tamarind and fry for 2 mins.grind this in to powder. Then add carrot pieces in the same pan and cook for 5 mins by closing the lid. Grind carrots and the above mixture together by adding salt.
Finally add tempering.
